Tristel plc ('Tristel'), the healthcare business which uses its proprietary
chlorine dioxide chemistry to create infection control products for hospitals
announces the following share purchases by directors:



On 23 May 2006 Paul Swinney (Chief Executive) acquired 2,500 shares at 48 pence
each and 2,500 at 54 pence each, taking his total shareholding to 2,718,986
shares (11.4%).



On 23 May 2006 Peter Stephens (Non-Executive Director) acquired 2,500 shares at
53.5 pence each and 12,500 at 50 pence each, taking his total shareholding to
548,937 shares (2.3%).
