Appointment of new non-executive director


TBI plc, the leading regional airport owner and operator, announces the
appointment of Baroness McDonagh as a non-executive director with effect from 9
August 2004.

Margaret McDonagh, age 43, is a business consultant and project manager, and was
General Secretary of the Labour Party from 1998 to 2001, the first woman, and
the youngest person, to have held that post. She was General Manager of Express
Newspapers from 2001 to 2002.

Commenting on the appointment, Stanley Thomas, Chairman, said:

'We are delighted to be appointing Baroness McDonagh, whose experience will be
invaluable to the board of TBI plc.'
