                        Cancellation of treasury shares

The Company announces that on 6 June 2005 the Company cancelled 1,957,845
ordinary shares of 2.5p each, held previously as treasury shares.

Following the cancellation of such treasury shares, the Company now holds 95,175
Ordinary Shares in treasury and the total number of Ordinary Shares in issue
less the total number of Ordinary Shares held in treasury is 226,045,005
Ordinary Shares.
