The Company was informed on 4 March 2004 by Schroder Investment Management
Limited ('Schroder') that it is interested in 19,150,000 ordinary shares of 1p
each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares'), representing 12.70 per cent. of the
Company's current total issued ordinary share capital of 150,743,163 Ordinary
Shares.

The above holding includes 17,100,000 Ordinary Shares held by Schroder Unit
Trusts Limited, an affiliated company of Schroder, held under the registered
name Chase Nominees Limited. The remaining 2,050,000 Ordinary Shares are held
under the registered name Nortrust Nominees Limited.
