Directors Shareholding
Stephen Dean, Chairman of Artisan (UK) plc, purchased on 23 February 2001,
400,000 ordinary shares in Artisan at 12.5p per share. As a result of this
purchase Stephen Dean is now beneficially interested in 29,625,000 Artisan
ordinary shares representing 10.47% of the company's issued share capital.
