Templeton Emerging Markets Investment Trust PLC ("the Company") announces that
at its Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday 27th September 2005, all of the
resolutions set out in the Notice of the Meeting were passed by the requisite
majority.



It is also announced that with effect from the close of the Annual General
Meeting, Geoffrey Langlands has resigned as a Director of the Company.
