In conformity with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1 we hereby notify that
the company's issued share capital currently consists of:

1,158,273,271 ordinary shares of 25 pence each ('shares')

Shares held in Treasury
12,233,047 shares

Voting Rights
As a result, the total number of voting rights in Taylor Wimpey plc is the net
of these two figures, that is 1,146,040,224 shares.

This change in voting rights results from the merger, effective today of Taylor
Woodrow plc and George Wimpey Plc into Taylor Wimpey plc whereby 563,919,759
shares were issued to George Wimpey Plc shareholders.

The above figure of 1,146,040,224 shares may be used by shareholders, as the
denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are
required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, shares
of Taylor Wimpey plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
