Synstar announces that following the recent placing of the majority of the
shares beneficially owned by CVC Capital Partners, Jonathan Feuer (a Managing
Director of CVC Capital Partners Ltd) will not seek re-election to the Board of
Synstar at its AGM which will be held on 6 March 2003. The Board wishes to
extend its thanks to Jonathan for the help that he has provided over the past
six years as Synstar went through its buy-out, flotation and development as a
public company.

The Nominations Committee is in the process of seeking a replacement
non-executive director, whose appointment will be announced in due course.
