Appointment to the Board of Alan Coles

BOARD APPOINTMENT
                              
Synstar  Plc ('Synstar'), announces the appointment to the Board of Alan 

Coles, Group Human Resources Director.

Mr Coles, 51, joined Granada Computer Services (now Synstar) in  September 

1992 and was a member of the management  team throughout the subsequent

management buyout and the IPO this year. He is a significant shareholder in 

his own right.

Mr Coles previously worked in a variety of human resources and personnel 

positions in Thorn EMI, culminating in four years as Human Resources Director 

at Thorn Security.  During his career he has also worked at Rothmans, Standard

Telephones & Cables and British Steel.
