Symphony Plastic Technologies PLC 09 May 2003 For Immediate Release 9th May 2003 Symphony Plastic Technologies plc Annual General Meeting Symphony Plastic Technologies plc ('Symphony' or 'the Group'), the degradable plastics company, is pleased to announce that at its Annual General Meeting ('AGM') held today, all resolutions were unanimously passed. At the AGM Christopher Littmoden, Chairman of Symphony, made the following statement: 'Since the AGM last year Symphony has made considerable progress. We have signed up contracts with three leading UK supermarket chains, Somerfield, Kwik Save and Co-Op, to manufacture and provide fully degradable plastic carrier bags. We have continued to make strong headway in international markets, in particular in the Caribbean, and we are now actively broadening the product range and commercial applications of our degradable products.' 'Since the year end we are delighted to have announced the appointment of Collins Stewart as our Nominated Adviser and Broker and we successfully raised new capital which has enabled us to strengthen the balance sheet and place the Group in a strong position to take on a significant amount of new business. The current financial year has started at a good pace and the number of excellent business leads continues at record levels.
