Web Shareshop today gives notice of an Extraordinary General Meeting to be held
at 2 pm on Thursday 29 July 2004 for the purpose of proposing a special
resolution to change the name of the Company from Web Shareshop (Holdings) plc
to 'Starvest plc'.

The Board believes that the new name is more appropriate given the Company's
current and future activities.
