Allen PLC
The board has reviewed the Group's capital needs, particularly the planned
investment in its hire division, and has concluded that £5m is available for
return to shareholders. The company will seek to purchase shares in the
market ahead of going into its close period on 27 September 2000 and will
continue the programme after its interim results in
November.
