COMS PROVIDES SECURE COMMUNICATIONS IN BAGHDAD

Hosted cloud system cuts G4S call costs by more than half

Coms is pleased to announce that it has entered into a contract with leading security company G4S SSI ("G4S") whereby Coms will bring a low cost, feature rich cloud based telephony service to G4S's security staff based in Baghdad. This is the first Coms customer to use its hosted telephony service over a satellite link.

G4S was spending more than £100,000 per month on international communications between Iraq and the UK/US due to the high cost of international mobile phone usage; a cost which G4S wanted to significantly reduce. Once the Coms hosted solution was integrated in Baghdad, and the Polycom handsets and iPhone apps set up, the outgoing communications costs were reduced by well over half.

Richard Bennett, CEO of Coms comments: "The G4S installation is the latest in a series of deals won by Coms this year.  It not only illustrates the major cost saving benefits provided by our hosted Cloud telephony system, but also the secure and fully functioned business class telephony service that is provided by Coms".
