                                     Resignation of Adviser

The Board of SouthernEra announces that, in light of the offer made today by
Mwana Africa PLC ('Mwana') for all of the  outstanding common shares of the
Company, Canaccord Adams Limited has resigned as nominated adviser and broker to
SouthernEra, effective immediately, as required under Rule 22 of the AIM Rules
for Nominated Advisers.
