The following amendment has been made to the 'Total Voting Rights' announcement released on 1 September 2017 at 11:29 under RNS No 5933P.

The announcement for August was re-released in error when it should have been for September.  Therefore the number of shares reported was 134,245,943 when it should have been 134,445,943.

All other details remain unchanged.

In conformity with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1.R we would like to notify the market of the following:

The Scottish American Investment Company PLC capital consists of 134,445,943 ordinary shares with voting rights. The Scottish American Investment Company PLC holds no ordinary shares in Treasury.

The above figure (134,445,943) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, The Scottish American Investment Company PLC under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
