Schroder UK Mid Cap Fund plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Clare Dobie as a non-executive Director of the Company, with effect from 11 September 2013.

Mrs Dobie is a non-executive director of F&C Capital and Income Trust plc and a trustee of Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust. She is also a director of Braxted Marketing Measures, a marketing and client service consultancy, having previously held senior positions in the asset management industry at Barclays Global Investors and GAM. She began her career as a financial journalist, working at The Times and The Independent, where she was City Editor.

It is confirmed that there are no other details to be disclosed concerning Mrs Dobie under Listing Rule 9.6.13 R.
