                   HENDERSON TR PACIFIC INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

The net asset value of the company shows an exceptional adjustment following the
creation of a provision against the value of Citiraya Industries whose shares
have been suspended at the direction of the Stock Exchange of Singapore pending
an investigation by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau.  The value of
the shares has been reduced to S$0.80 from S$1.08.  This adjustment caused a
reduction of £1.1m in the assets of Henderson TR Pacific Investment Trust plc.
This was reflected in the NAV announced on 31 January 2005.
