                     Appointment of Non-Executive Director


Henderson TR Pacific Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment
of Christopher Keljik OBE as a non-executive director to the Board with effect
from Monday, 19 November 2007.  Christopher Keljik who is aged 59 is a
non-executive director of Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust plc, Jardine Lloyd
Thomson Group plc and Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc.  A fellow of the
Institute of Chartered Accountants, he retired from the Board of Standard
Chartered plc in 2005 after twenty nine years and has considerable experience in
the Asian region.

In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules it is
confirmed that there are no additional details to be disclosed in relation to Mr
Keljik.
