The preliminary results for J Sainsbury plc for the 52 week period ended 1
April 2000, will be announced on 31 May 2000.
The final dividend will be paid on 28 July 2000 to shareholders on the
register on 16 June 2000. The shares will go ex-dividend on 12 June 2000.
