Monthly Traffic Figures

RYANAIR HOLDINGS PLC 29 July 1999 RYANAIR CARRIES RECORD NUMBERS 535,000 passengers in July Ryanair, Europe's leading low fares airline, today announced a new monthly traffic record by carrying over 535,000 passengers in July. This represents an increase of 17.5% over July 1998 and is due to the successful launch and strong customer demand on the seven new routes launched by Ryanair out of London and Glasgow Prestwick to European destinations. Commenting on these record figures Ryanair's Commercial Director, Mr. Michael Cawley, said: 'Ryanair's strong growth continues as this record in July demonstrates. The engine for our growth has been the immediate success of our new routes from London and Glasgow Prestwick to Europe. This growth confirms the continued demand for Ryanair's low fares to an ever-increasing number of European destinations. Ryanair this year launched seven new low fare routes to Italy, France, Germany and Derry in Northern Ireland'.
