Notification of Major Interest in Shares

Rurelec PLC (AIM: RUR), the electricity utility focused on power generation in Latin America, was notified on 21 June 2013 that on 13 June 2013, owing to the new issue of Ordinary Shares in the Company, YF Finance Limited, whilst continuing to have a direct interest in 96,565,166 Ordinary Shares in the Company, is now only interested in approximately 17.71 % per cent of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
