Open Offer - Applications

The Directors of AorTech International plc are pleased to announce that
applications were received for 1,337,145 New Ordinary Shares in the Open
Offer. Taken together with the entitlements of certain shareholders including
J G Wright, Chairman and E. McDaid, Managing Director, who undertook not to
apply for shares in the Open Offer and which have been placed firm with
Institutional Investors, a total of 2,957,672 New Ordinary Shares were applied
for in the Open Offer or placed firm.  This represents approximately 98.33 per
cent of the issue.  The balance of the shares not taken up or placed firm will
be subscribed for by Institutional investors under the terms of the Placing.
