AGM Statement

Norish PLC 3 May 2001 NORISH AGM STATEMENT Trading in the first four months of the year has been difficult. Both the commodity storage and cold storage businesses have performed below expectation, while our newly established ambient warehousing business continues to develop well. Imports of cocoa into the UK are still running at low levels and this continues to impact on volumes and profits in the commodity storage business. The cold storage business has been adversely affected by temporary changes in demand patterns arising from the foot and mouth outbreak in the UK. In these circumstances the Directors believe that profits for the full year will be significantly below levels previously expected.
