Notification of major interests in shares

The Company was notified on 10 January 2011 that St James's Place UK Growth Unit Trust (one of the funds managed by RWC Partners Ltd) bought 2,500,000 ordinary shares on 15 December 2010 taking the total ownership of this trust to 29,394,424 ordinary shares, which represents 7.2% of the voting rights and issued share capital (after excluding shares held in Treasury) in the Company.

Additionally the Company was informed yesterday that RWC partners have set up and manage a new fund called the RWC UK Focus Fund. This new fund bought 6,000,000 ordinary shares in SPARK in the period 14 - 16 December 2010.

Therefore in aggregate RWC Partners Ltd now manage 49,854,977 ordinary shares in SPARK which represents 12.1% of the voting rights and issued share capital (after excluding shares held in Treasury) in the Company.
