                             STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE

                     CHANGE OF NOMINATED ADVISER AND BROKER

ROC advises that it has appointed Oriel Securities Limited ('Oriel') as its
Nominated Adviser ('NOMAD') and Broker in the United Kingdom with immediate
effect. Oriel replaces Canaccord Capital (Europe) Limited who acted as NOMAD and
broker on behalf of ROC from the commencement of its listing on the Alternative
Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange ('AIM') in August 2005.

ROC is an Australian oil and gas exploration company, listed on the Australian
Stock Exchange ('ASX') since August 1999 and AIM since August 2004.

Oriel's successful appointment is attributed to its oil and gas sector
expertise, experience advising dual listed companies and its growing reputation
in the UK.

CEO, Dr John Doran said of the appointment,

'A key goal for ROC is to expand its UK shareholder base and create a greater
market presence outside of Australia and we have every confidence that Oriel
will provide the experience and insights necessary to achieve that.'
