The Restaurant Group plc ('the Company') announces that Stephen Critoph, 
Group Finance Director, has today purchased 11,500 ordinary shares in the
Company at 138p per share.

Following this purchase Mr Critoph now holds 77,164 ordinary shares in the 
Company representing 0.04% of the issued share capital.
