New PFI Contract

Reliance Security Group PLC 30 August 2001 30th August, 2001 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Reliance Security Group plc New PFI Contract The directors of Reliance Security Group plc are pleased to announce that Reliance Secure Task Management Limited, its specialist custodial services and secure facilities management business, in partnership with Ballast plc, has been awarded a new PFI contract. The contract, with Sussex Police Authority, is worth in excess of £90m over 30 years and is one of the largest PFI contracts to be awarded in the police service to date. The contract is for the provision of a number of new buildings and a wide range of facilities and support services to Sussex Police. Due to the timing of the construction programme income from the facilities management contract is not envisaged to impact Reliance until 2002.
