Shanks Group plc, one of Europe's largest independent waste management
companies, serving customers in the UK, Belgium and Holland, will be announcing
its Preliminary Results for the financial year ending 31 March 2005, on Thursday
2 June 2005.

An analyst presentation will take place at ABN AMRO, 250 Bishopsgate, London,
EC2M 4AA, at 10:00 am on the morning of the results.
