Shanks Group plc Notice of Results

Shanks Group plc, one of Europe's largest independent waste management
companies, serving customers in the UK, Belgium and Holland, will be announcing
its Interim Results for the six months ended 30 September 2004, on Thursday 4
November 2004.

An analyst presentation will take place at ABN AMRO, 250 Bishopsgate, London,
EC2M 4AA, at 9:00am on the morning of the results.
