Notification of dealing by Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial
Responsibility ('PDMR')

On 19 March 2007 the following directors and PDMRs exercised share options over
Rathbone Brothers Plc Ordinary Shares of 5p granted under the Rathbone Executive
Share Option Scheme 2000. The market value at exercise was £12.39 being the
closing mid market price on 16 March 2006. The shares allotted were registered
in the name of Rathbone Nominees Limited. Following the option exercise, share
sales took place on 20 March 2007 at £12.42.Details are set out below.
