NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS

On 12 September 2008, a PDMR, Robert Hughes-Penney, sold 400 Rathbone Brothers Plc ordinary shares at £9.91. On the same date, 400 shares were purchased at £9.98 to be held in his Individual Savings Account (ISA). In both cases, the shares were registered in the name of Rathbone Nominees Limited.  

Following these transactions there is no change to his declarable beneficial holding.
