THE QUARTO GROUP, Inc
German customer seeks insolvency protection
The Quarto Group, Inc. has learned that Konemann Verlags GmbH, one of the
largest book publishing companies in Germany, has sought insolvency protection
pending restructuring. Quarto has outstanding receivables due from Konemann
of approximately £1.2 million.
Quarto will provide, as a separately identified exceptional item, for the then
estimated uncollectable part of its debt from Konemann at the time of the
preliminary announcement of its results for the year ending December 31 2001,
which is currently expected to take place in February 2002.
