On 10 December 2004 the Company received notification by Citibank, N.A. London
Branch, Citigroup Centre, Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5LB that, as
at, 9 December 2004 Standard Life Investments purchased 2,296,301 shares on
behalf of Standard Life Group and therefore had a notifiable interest of
17,735,888 ordinary 1p shares in the Company representing 7.242% of the issued
share capital.

The 17,735,888 shares were registered in the name of Vidacos Nominees.
