On 18 October 2004 the Company received notification by Citibank, N.A. London
Branch, Citigroup Centre, Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5LB that, as
at, 15 October 2004 Standard Life Investments purchased 2,481,096 shares on
behalf of Standard Life Group and therefore had a notifiable interest of
15,700,849 ordinary 1p shares in the Company representing 6.411% of the issued
share capital.

The 15,700,849 shares were registered in the name of Vidacos Nominees.
