                  Disclosure of Interest in Share Capital

On 26 July 2004, the Company received notification by AXA Investment Manangers
UK Ltd that, as at 23 July 2004, AXA S.A. of 25 Avenue Matignon, 75008 Paris and
its Group Companies had a notifiable interest in 15,165,000 ordinary shares in
the Company representing 6.19% of the issued share capital. These shares were
represented by a beneficial interest of 10,880,000 shares (4.44%) and a
non-beneficial interest of 4,285,000 shares (1.75%).
