Directors' Shareholdings

The Company announces that M. Haynes (Group Sales and Marketing Director) has today exercised 10,000 options issued pursuant to The Portmeirion 2002 Share Option Scheme.  These options were granted with an exercise price of 345 pence per Ordinary share of 5p each in the Company ("Ordinary Share") on 4 April 2007.  The total exercise price paid was £34,500.00.

The Company has accordingly transferred 10,000 shares to M. Haynes from a number of shares held in treasury by the Company.  Application has been made for a total of 10,000 ordinary 5p shares to trading on AIM and admission is expected on 30 December 2010. The total number of Ordinary Shares now held by the Company in treasury is 560,218.  The Company has 10,563,030 Ordinary Shares in issue and 10,002,812 Ordinary Shares with voting rights following this notification.

After this transaction, M. Haynes is the beneficial holder of 25,000 Ordinary Shares (representing approximately 0.25% of the voting rights in the issued ordinary share capital of the Company).  He now holds options over 120,948 Ordinary Shares.
