Acquisition Completed

PORTMEIRION POTTERIES (HOLDINGS) PLC

Portmeirion announces that it has today completed the
acquisition of land, buildings, plant and equipment from the
Joint Administrative Receivers of Biltons Tableware Limited.

As mentioned in their recent Interim Report, the 4.8 acre
freehold site, which is close to Portmeirion's Stoke factory,
should quickly be in production of Portmeirion ceramic product
including new glazed items for 'The Seasons Collection', their
recently introduced product range. The total cost of the
acquisition, including initial work required to set the site
up for production, is estimated at £1 million.
