MARKET PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES


Plaza Centers, a leading emerging markets property developer, today announces that, pursuant to an authority granted by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on 27 May 2008 to make market purchases of its own shares, Plaza purchased yesterday 130,000 shares at price of 59 Pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. 


Following the purchase of these shares the number of shares with voting rights in issue (excluding shares held in treasury) will be 278,068,659 and the number of shares in treasury will be 14,362,722.
