MARKET PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES

Plaza Centers, a leading emerging markets property developer, today announces that, pursuant to an authority granted by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on 27 May 2008 to make market purchases of its own shares, Plaza purchased yesterday, 34,390 shares at a price between 55.38 Pence and 56.50 Pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.

Following the purchase of these shares the number of shares with voting rights in issue (excluding shares held in treasury) will be 285,221,378 and the number of shares in treasury will be 7,210,003.
