                                 TREASURY STOCK

The Company announces that on 10 December 2003, the Company purchased 150,000 of
its own Ordinary Shares at a price of £2.80 per share.  The Company intends to
hold the purchased shares in treasury.  Following the purchase of these shares,
the Company holds 150,000 of its Ordinary Shares in treasury and has 71,829,846
Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding those in treasury).
