Appointment of Finance Director

Appointment of Non-Executive Director

 

 

Pennant International Group plc ("Pennant", the "Company" or the "Group"), the AIM quoted supplier of integrated training and support solutions, products and services which train and assist engineers in defence and regulated civilian sectors, is pleased to announce the appointments of Gary Barnes as Finance Director and Mr John Ponsonby OBE as a Non-Executive Director, in each case with effect from 1 April 2018.

 

Mr Barnes, aged 51, is the Group's present Head of Finance, with operational oversight of all financial matters; he has 21 years' experience within the Pennant business.  He holds no other directorships, past or present.

Mr Barnes, together with his wife, hold 150,934 ordinary shares in the Company (representing approximately 0.46% of the Company's issued share capital). Furthermore, he has share options over an additional 370,000 unissued shares:

Mr Ponsonby, aged 62, spent 34 years in the British Military serving in both the British Army and later the Royal Air Force, having graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, achieving the rank of Air Vice-Marshal commanding the RAF No 22 (Training) Group.  Mr Ponsonby was most recently Managing Director at Leonardo Helicopters UK (a division of Leonardo MW Limited) which generated annual revenues of over £1 billion, and was a member of the AgustaWestland Executive Steering Committee. He was previously Senior Vice President of Customer Support and Training Services worldwide.
