PANTHEON INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATIONS PLC
The Company was notified today that following the purchase of certain assets
by Clerical Medical Investment Group Holdings Limited from the Equitable Life
Assurance society, which became effective on 1 March 2001, the Halifax Group
plc now has a notifiable Non-Material interest in 2,688,952 Ordinary shares of
67p each, representing 14.91% of the issued class of capital.
