We are writing to notify you pursuant to the Disclosure of Interests in Shares
(Amendment) Regulations 1993 (SI 1993 No. 1819) of our interest in investment
holdings in the ordinary share capital of Michael Page International.  Following
a purchase of 769,000 shares on July 26, 2001, accounts managed by Harris
Associates L.P. became the beneficial owners of 11,456,000 shares of Michael
Page.  This represents 3.05% of the company and an increase over the 3%
