                        Disclosure of Interest in Shares


Pacific Horizon Investment Trust PLC has today been advised that following a
sale of 800,000 ordinary 10p shares on 2 May 2003, Aberdeen Asset Managers held,
on behalf of British Empire Securities Plc 1,500,000 ordinary shares in the
Company, which equated to 1.96% of the issued share capital.

The remaining holding of 1,500,000 has since been sold bringing the Pacific
Horizon Investment Trust PLC holding held by Aberdeen Asset Managers on behalf
of British Empire Securities PLC to zero.
