The Directors of Oxford Instruments plc will be meeting on Tuesday 14 November
2000 to approve the accounts for the half year to 30 September 2000 for
publication and to agree the Interim Dividend for the year to 31 March 2001.

The Dividend will be payable on 27 March 2001 to members on the register at
the close of business on 23 February 2001 (the record date).

The announcement of the company's Interim Results will be released to the
Stock Exchange on Tuesday 14 November 2000.
