                  ANNOUNCEMENT RE: CHIEF EXECUTIVE SUCCESSION

NWF Group plc ('NWF'), the diversified sales and distribution business,
announces that due to ill health, Mike Guest will no longer be assuming the 
role of Chief Executive with effect from 1 December 2004 as previously 
announced.

As a result of this unexpected change to succession planning Graham Scott will
continue as Chief Executive, until a new replacement is in place, delaying his
planned retirement.

Graham Scott Chief Executive, commented 'The Board regrets to announce that due
to ill health Mike will no longer be able to succeed me as Chief Executive as
previously planned. We have now begun the search for an alternative replacement
and will make a further announcement when we have decided upon the right
candidate. In the meantime, with the support of the Board, I will continue in my
role as Chief Executive for as long as it takes to find a new successor and to
facilitate a smooth hand over of responsibilities. Everybody at NWF wishes Mike
a speedy recovery.'

NWF also announces that Keith Forster will be appointed as the new Managing
Director of Boughey Distribution, with effect from 1 October 2004, two months
earlier than previously announced.
