Notification of Interest in National Grid Ordinary Shares,
Pursuant to Sections 198 to 208 of The Companies Act 1985
National Grid today received a further notification from CGNU plc;
that it had a notifiable interest in 2.96% of National Grid's
issued share capital at 7 February 2001 (having previously
notified its interest at 3.02% at 20 November 2000).
*A Private Investor is a recipient of the information who meets all of the conditions set out below, the recipient:
Obtains access to the information in a personal capacity;
