Notification of Directors' Interests
The Trustee of the National Grid USA Incentive Thrift Plan
notified NGG yesterday that Mr R P Sergels' interests
in NGG shares were increased by the following purchases:
52.344 Ordinary Share ADRs on 28 March 2000 at $48.1297 per ADR;
and 22.254 Ordinary Share ADRs on 25 April 2000 at $42.125 per ADR.
