Mr R P Sergel, recently appointed as an NGG Executive Director, has been
granted options over 201,845 NGG Ordinary shares under the Executive Share
Option Scheme, effective as of 31 March 2000. The options were granted at an
exercise price of 566.5p and are exercisable, subject to agreed performance
criteria, during the period of seven years from 31 March 2003.
