The Directors have today been informed that on Monday 22nd July 2002 Mr Paul
Tebbutt the Chief Executive and a Director of Millfield Group plc transferred
250,000 Millfield Group plc shares to his wife, Mrs Helen Tebbutt.

Mr Tebbutt has an interest in 1,305,126 Ordinary shares representing 2.26% of
the companies issued share capital.
